Ran 13 last night on my usual night run course. Great run except they cut the grass around NIH which wasn't pleasant on my allergies. The various OTC allergy pills seem uneffective for me. Anyone with similar issues have any luck with the shots or something stronger?

I did the shots for like 2 years and would recommend them. Though, I almost blacked out when they did the initial testing because they give you over 100 shots to see what you are allergic to... and I'm as scared of needles as Witty is of girls.
haha!
I suppose shots work well, but too time consuming. The allergist told me to take one shot every day for the three months, then one shot every other day for another three months, then one shot per week for three months, then one shot for per month for six months (I think), then one shot per six months, and then eventually down to one shot per year. I didn’t do it, since I only have seasonal allergy on evergreen (oak, pine, etc.) during spring – five to nine weeks of suffering. Maybe your allergist will tell you something different after the scratch testing.
For this year, my doctor recommends me to use Allegra and suggest me taking a does every eight to ten hours on the high-high pollen day. I think it work for me so far by taking one pill each 12-hour.
Good luck ...
Thanks for the feedback. I've only tried one pill a day so I'll try a second one on bad pollen days and see if that helps. I'll look into the shots if not.
